Renowned Japanese Voice Actress Atsuko Tanaka Passes Away

Acclaimed Japanese voice actress Atsuko Tanaka, known for bringing to life legendary characters such as Street Fighter's Chun-Li, Lara Croft, Bayonetta, and Tess in the Japanese adaptation of The Last of Us, has passed away at 61. In addition to her extensive work in video games, including her role as Kaine in Nier Replicant, Tanaka had notable appearances in anime and other shows, such as Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Her son, voice actor Hikaru Tanaka, announced her passing due to an undisclosed illness.
