ROG Ally and Other Handhelds to Receive SteamOS Support

Valve has announced that it will be introducing SteamOS compatibility for the Asus ROG Ally and various other third-party handheld devices. According to a statement from Valve designer Lawrence Yang, the company is actively working on expanding SteamOS support to include additional handheld devices. Yang noted that while progress is being made to enable SteamOS on devices such as the ROG Ally, it is not yet ready for immediate use. Furthermore, Yang confirmed that efforts are underway to develop dual-boot support, including the preparation of Windows drivers for the Steam Deck OLED, although a release timeline for this feature has not been disclosed.
