Nazara Technologies Purchases Fusebox Games in $27.2 Million Deal

Nazara Technologies has completed the acquisition of Fusebox Games, a UK-based mobile gaming studio, for a sum of $27.2 million. Fusebox Games, established in 2016, specializes in developing interactive story titles, including the popular Love Island game, with several other projects in the pipeline based on prominent television IPs. According to Nitish Mittersain, CEO and founder of Nazara, the company aims to capitalize on the opportunity to create a global gaming business centered around intellectual properties, leveraging its strong foundation in India to support international studios through enhanced user acquisition, data analysis, live operations, and innovative initiatives. Mittersain expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with the skilled team at Fusebox, citing the alignment of their strategy with Nazara's existing IPs as the company strives to become a gaming entity of significant scale worldwide. Earlier in March, Nazara announced a substantial commitment of $100 million towards strategic expansions through mergers and acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on investing in and acquiring gaming studios that cater to India's vast gaming community of 500 million and the sizable North American market.
