Warner Bros Sees 41% Decline in Game Revenue for Q2, Citing Underwhelming Suicide Squad Performance

Warner Bros has reported a 41% year-over-year decline in game revenue, according to its Q2 2024 financial report, covering the period up to June 30. Although the company does not release detailed figures for its Studios segment, which includes TV and film, it attributed the decrease to the disappointing performance of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, especially in comparison to Hogwarts Legacy's strong showing in 2023. The segment's overall revenue saw a 4% year-over-year decrease, reaching $2.45 billion. For the six-month period ending June 30, the decline in game revenue was even more pronounced, with a 66% drop, although specific figures were not provided.
