MixRift Secures $1.6 Million in Funding for Innovative Mixed Reality Gaming Experiences

MixRift has successfully closed a pre-seed funding round, garnering $1.6 million in investments. The funding round was co-led by Outsized Ventures and Underline Ventures, with SOSV and several angel investors also contributing to the round. The newly acquired funds will be utilized to drive the development and publication of mixed reality games. The company's founding team, comprising CEO Bobby Voicu, CPO David Pripas, and CTO Andrei Vaduva, brings a wealth of experience from their previous collaborations at MavenHut Games. This expertise is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping MixRift's mixed reality gaming portfolio. To date, MixRift has launched two titles: Fractured, available on both Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro, and Hell Horde, exclusively on Meta Quest. The company has a robust pipeline of upcoming titles slated for release this year. According to CEO Bobby Voicu, 'The mixed reality landscape is still in its infancy, and we believe there is immense untapped potential waiting to be harnessed. Our team's extensive background in creating engaging games positions us uniquely to capitalize on this opportunity.' Voicu further emphasized the company's commitment to agile development, rapid market testing, and incorporating user feedback to refine and enhance its gaming offerings. 'This investment serves as a testament to our approach and demonstrates the confidence our experienced backers have in our vision and strategy.'
