Animated Series Based on High on Life in Development

The popular video game High on Life is set to be adapted into an animated comedy series. According to reports, JB Smoove, known for his role in Curb Your Enthusiasm and as the voice of a sentient weapon in the game, will be producing the series through Alternate Side Productions. While it is uncertain whether Smoove will also have an acting role, it is likely. Squanch Games and Striker Entertainment's Mandy Bardisbanian and Russell Binder will join Alternate Side Productions as executive producers. JB Smoove expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that the series will be a hilarious and action-packed adventure through space with memorable characters. Russell Binder also commented on the game's unique blend of humor and engaging gameplay, making it an ideal candidate for multimedia storytelling and fan engagement. The game initially launched in December 2022 to great success, becoming the biggest Game Pass launch of the year, and had attracted 7.5 million unique players by April 2023.
