The news was shared by the studio on July 29, 2024, although Pankhurst had passed away in May of the same year. In a heartfelt tribute, the studio expressed their sadness, stating, "We are all saddened to hear of Tony Pankhurst's passing. He was the face of The Curator, and we loved working with him." The Curator is a recurring character in The Dark Pictures Anthology, appearing in each game, including Man of Medan, Little Hope, House of Ashes, and The Devil In Me, serving as a guide for players.
