Capcom's Resident Evil 7 Earns $28,140 on iOS Since Launch
According to AppMagic data reported by Mobilegamer.biz, the iOS version of Resident Evil 7 has generated $28,140 in revenue for Capcom. With around 83,000 downloads since its launch on July 2, this translates to roughly 2,000 paying customers when accounting for Apple's revenue share. This figure has prompted GamesIndustry.biz to reach out to Capcom for further clarification. As a $20 AAA title on iOS, Resident Evil 7 joins other notable ports like Assassin's Creed Mirage and Death Stranding. Previously, Capcom producer Tsuyoshi Kanda expressed the company's interest in targeting mobile devices alongside current-gen consoles, stating that they could potentially reach a point where mobile and console releases coincide. The announcement of the iPhone 15 Pro's capability to run native AAA titles in September 2023 sparked anticipation for more AAA games on iOS.
