Gfinity Digital Media Undergoes Staff Reduction

Gfinity Digital Media has allegedly experienced significant staff cuts. On July 12, Lewis White, the editor-in-chief of Gfinity and Stealth Optional, announced the news via social media, stating that his entire team is being released from their positions. However, the total number of employees affected remains unclear, given that the company operates eight gaming media websites, including Gfinity Esports, Stealth Optional, and Racing Games. Following the announcement, several members of the Gfinity Esports team, including Lewis White, have confirmed their redundancies on social media. According to news writer Nico Parungo, the layoffs are attributed to 'restructuring and budgetary reasons.' Guides editor Rory Norris and evergreen editor Aimee Hart are among those who have been let go, with Norris's contract set to expire by the end of the month. GamesIndustry.biz has contacted GDM for further details on the extent of the layoffs.
