GAME to Discontinue Physical Currency Card Sales

GAME, a UK-based specialist retailer, is allegedly ceasing the sale of physical in-store currency cards. According to a report by Eurogamer, while digital codes printed on receipts will still be available for purchase, all POSA cards will be withdrawn from sale within a short period. As a result, customers will no longer be able to buy top-up cards for digital platforms like Nintendo eShop, Roblox, and iTunes in-store. The decision is reportedly linked to the till software system used by GAME's parent company, Frasers Group. Currently, POSA cards are not available for purchase on GAME's website. The company has not commented on the matter. This development follows the recent announcement that GAME will no longer accept in-store pre-orders for upcoming games starting August 1, although online pre-orders will continue.
