Star Wars Outlaws Tops IGN's Most Wanted Games for 2024

Following an eventful month of new video game announcements, Star Wars Outlaws retains its position as the most coveted game of 2024 on IGN. The upcoming Ubisoft title has garnered the second-highest number of wishlist additions on IGN Playlist over the past year and is the second most wishlisted game overall, trailing behind Grand Theft Auto 6, which is slated for release in 2025. In June, however, Outlaws slipped to 17th place in the wishlist rankings due to the influx of fresh game reveals. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom emerged as June's most wishlisted game, surpassing competition from Doom: The Dark Ages, Mario & Luigi Brothership, Gears of Wars: E-Day, and Astro Bot. The game's success has propelled it into the top ten most wishlisted games over the last twelve months, securing the ninth spot. Notably, the new IP Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 broke into June's top ten, outperforming several prominent titles. Furthermore, data from IGN Playlist reveals that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the most backlogged game among IGN users for June and all time, with other notable titles like Fallout 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Cyberpunk 2077 also featuring prominently in the backlog list. Red Dead Redemption 2 topped the list of most completed games in June, followed by GTA 5 and Elden Ring. In contrast, Assassin's Creed Valhalla was the most abandoned game in June, ahead of Apex Legends and Genshin Impact.
