Cities Skylines 2 Console Launch Delayed for Third Time by Paradox Interactive

Paradox Interactive has announced another delay for the console version of its popular city-building game, Cities Skylines 2. Initially planned to launch alongside the PC version in October last year, the console release was first pushed to spring 2024 and then to October 2024. Now, Paradox has removed the release window altogether, stating that the console version has not yet achieved the desired levels of stability and performance. In a statement on the official forum, the team explained that without a Release Candidate, meeting the October release window is no longer feasible. Although progress is being made, unresolved issues continue to affect the gaming experience, prompting the team to await a new Release Candidate in August for further evaluation. This assessment will determine whether the submission process can begin, leading to a solid release date, or if additional issues need to be addressed. Paradox reassured players that it remains committed to keeping them informed about the development process, even if the updates are not always positive.
