Kwalee Acquires Minority Stake in Devolver Digital
Kwalee has confirmed a strategic minority investment in Devolver Digital, acquiring a 3.58% stake in the company. This move is part of Kwalee's broader strategy to bolster its presence in the PC and console gaming sectors. The investment comes on the heels of the successful launch of Robobeat, a rhythm shooter developed by Insanity Games. Kwalee's pipeline of upcoming PC and console titles includes The Precinct from Fallen Tree Games, The Spirit of the Samurai by Digital Minds, and In Sink from Clock Out Games. David Darling, Kwalee's founder and CEO, expressed his gratitude to Harry Miller and the Devolver team for the opportunity to invest in such a renowned brand. Darling emphasized Kwalee's commitment to collaborating with industry leaders to drive growth and create engaging gaming experiences. Earlier in the year, Kwalee invested €1.5 million in 8SEC, a French mobile game studio specializing in hybrid casual games.
