Adult Swim Withdraws Support for Four Indie Games, Citing Developer Unavailability

Adult Swim has announced the delisting of several indie titles, including Mega Coin Squad, Super House of Dead Ninjas, Traverser, and Zenzizenzic, due to its inability to continue as their publisher. The decision follows changes at Warner Bros. Discovery. In a statement posted on the games' Steam pages, Adult Swim explained that the developers of these games are currently unable to take over as publishers. As a result, the games are scheduled to be shut down on July 15th, 2024. This move comes after Warner Bros. Discovery announced in May that it would be returning ownership of certain titles to their developers. However, some developers, such as the team behind Super House of Dead Ninjas, claim they have not been contacted about taking over the publishing rights for their game. The developer stated that they had reached out to Adult Swim but did not receive a response, and they are willing to keep the game alive under their new name.
