BeReal Implements Staff Reductions After Acquisition by Voodoo

Following its acquisition by Voodoo, BeReal has undergone a restructuring process, resulting in layoffs. According to a LinkedIn post by the company's COO, Romain Salzman, 28 employees from various departments, including engineering, quality assurance, and marketing, have been let go as part of a strategic shift towards talent based in France and Europe. This development comes after Voodoo's acquisition of BeReal for €500 million, which led to a change in leadership, with Aymeric Roffé replacing Alexis Barreyat as CEO. In a statement, the company expressed its gratitude to the affected employees and reaffirmed its commitment to upholding BeReal's core mission and values as it navigates its next phase of growth.
