Mystic Forge Secures €2 Million in Funding to Fuel Expansion

Mystic Forge, an independent game publisher, has successfully raised €2 million through a recent investment round. The funding, led by prominent investors ForsVC and ROM Utrecht Region, is set to enhance the publisher's capabilities in supporting its expanding lineup of titles. According to co-founder Paul Hanraets, "This significant investment enables us to diversify our portfolio and acquire additional games, further solidifying our position in the market." Hanraets also emphasized the company's commitment to contributing to the local gaming ecosystems in Utrecht and Belgium, despite its global operations. Jeffrey Williams, senior investment manager at ROM Utrecht Region, noted that the partnership with Mystic Forge would "enhance the regional gaming landscape by leveraging their extensive industry expertise and network, ultimately strengthening the ecosystem and attracting more investments to the area." Founded in 2023 by industry veterans Paul Hanraets, Randy Greenback, and Vernon Vrolijk, formerly of Good Shepherd Entertainment, Mystic Forge specializes in publishing strategy, simulation, and RPG games for PC.
