YouTube Cuts Ties with DrDisrespect Over Serious Allegations

Following a wave of allegations stemming from his Twitch ban, YouTube has suspended monetization on DrDisrespect's channel, which boasts 4.7 million subscribers, and removed it from the YouTube Partner Program. A YouTube spokesperson confirmed that this decision is a result of DrDisrespect violating the platform's Creator Responsibility policy. The move not only affects his current channel but also any future channels he may create. The allegations, which surfaced last week, involve claims of DrDisrespect sending inappropriate messages to a minor and attempting to meet them at TwitchCon. Although DrDisrespect has denied any wrongdoing, the controversy has led to him losing partnerships, including with game developer Midnight Society, which he co-founded, and peripherals firm Turtle Beach.
