Xbox Cloud Gaming Expands to Amazon Fire TV in Select Regions

Microsoft has teamed up with Amazon to introduce Xbox Cloud Gaming on Amazon's Fire TV platform, starting with the latest Fire TV Stick models. The Xbox app will be available on Fire TV in two markets from next month, allowing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to access a wide range of cloud-based games. Initially, the app will only be compatible with the Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Stick 4K Max, priced at $49.99 and $59.99 respectively, offering an affordable entry point into Xbox gaming. A Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller, such as the PlayStation DualShock 4 or DualSense, is required to play these games. While an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership is necessary for full access to the game library, non-subscribers can still play Fortnite through the Xbox app. This collaboration is part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to expand Game Pass via cloud gaming to more devices, following a similar partnership with Samsung for its Smart TVs.
