Tripledot Expands Portfolio with Zephyr Mobile Acquisition
In a significant move, Tripledot Studios has acquired Zephyr Mobile, a prominent mobile game development company, in a deal whose financial details have not been disclosed. According to a report by Pocket Gamer, Zephyr Mobile will retain its independence, with its 55 employees continuing to work under the guidance of CEO Serge Morozov from their Warsaw headquarters. The studio has garnered recognition for its diverse range of casual games and applications. Tripledot, known for publishing and developing mobile games such as Woodoku, aims to leverage its expertise to propel Zephyr's titles to greater heights. Lior Shiff, CEO of Tripledot, expressed his admiration for Zephyr's accomplishments, stating, "We've long been admirers of Zephyr's work and are thrilled to collaborate with Serge and his team." He further emphasized, "Achieving success with multiple games is no easy feat, and we're eager to utilize our capabilities to help Zephyr's games reach a massive audience." Serge Morozov, CEO of Zephyr Mobile, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, "I've always regarded Tripledot as a pinnacle of operational excellence in the industry. When the opportunity to partner with them arose, I couldn't resist. We're excited to explore how Tripledot can aid us in realizing our full potential and creating lasting gaming franchises." This acquisition follows Tripledot's successful Series B funding round, which secured $116 million in February 2022, and its subsequent acquisition of Live Play Mobile.
