The Unreal Guys Unveil New Co-Development Studio
Veterans of the gaming industry, Rik Alexander, Myke Parrott, and Ryan Woodland, have officially launched CodeDev - The Unreal Guys, a co-development studio specializing in Unreal Engine technology. With a remote setup based in the UK, the studio aims to capitalize on the growing trend of co-development in the gaming industry. Parrott, founder of Game Logic, will serve as CEO, while Alexander, previously CEO of The Multiplayer Guys and founder of Super Punk Games, will take on the role of chairman. Woodland, with experience at Nintendo and Microsoft, will act as CTO. According to Alexander, the decision to establish the studio was driven by the increasing adoption of co-development models among developers of all sizes. He noted, "Given the shifting landscape of the industry, Myke and I felt it was the right time to collaborate more closely and create a studio that can rapidly build, scale, and deliver expert teams." Parrott added, "Having worked in recruitment, I've been attuned to changes in the job market, and Rik and I believe that despite ongoing challenges, the gaming industry is showing signs of recovery, making this the ideal time to introduce The Unreal Guys."
