Galvanic Games Ceases Operations

Seattle-based game development studio Galvanic Games has announced its shutdown. According to Patrick Morgan, the studio's president and founder, the decision was made due to the underwhelming sales performance of their latest title, Wizard with a Gun, which were not sufficient to support the studio's continued operation. Morgan expressed his disappointment on social media, stating that the past year has been challenging for the gaming industry as a whole. Despite having promising discussions at DICE and GDC, the process of securing new projects took longer than the studio's available resources could sustain. Morgan reflected on the irony of the situation, where the team's most productive year coincided with the studio's demise, and praised the exceptional dedication, creativity, and hard work of his team members. Founded in 2015, Galvanic Games released its debut title Gurgamoth in 2016, followed by The Rust Belt, Rapture Rejects, and Some Distant Memory, before partnering with Devolver Digital for the release of Wizard with a Gun in 2023.
