Microsoft Unveils New Xbox Series Consoles for Holiday Release

This holiday season will see the launch of three new Xbox Series console models, including a digital-only version of the Xbox Series X. The announcement was made during the Xbox Games Showcase, where Xbox president Sarah Bond revealed the new devices. The digital-only white Xbox Series X will be priced at $449.99/€499.99 and will exclude the disc drive found in the standard model, following rumors of an all-digital redesign. Additionally, a special edition black Series X with 2TB of storage will be available for $599.99/€649.99, and a white version of the 1TB Series S will be priced at $349.99/€349.99. These new models are set to launch in select markets by the end of the year. Microsoft has also confirmed that it is working on the next generation of Xbox consoles. Further information on market availability and regional pricing will be released in the coming months, along with pre-order details. The announcement follows last year's leak of court documents revealing plans for mid-gen refreshes of both Xbox consoles, which included enhanced functionality and a cylindrical design for the Series X refresh. Today's showcase also featured new game titles, including Gears 6, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard, as well as updates on Perfect Dark, Fable, and Indiana Jones.
