GAME Discontinues Xbox All Access and Rewards Program

GAME, a UK-based retailer, has been undergoing significant changes, including the discontinuation of its Xbox All Access program and rewards scheme. According to Eurogamer, the retailer will cease offering Xbox All Access, which allowed customers to purchase an Xbox Series X|S console through 24 monthly installments, by the end of June. This decision is part of GAME's strategy to simplify its credit offerings and shift focus towards concessions within its parent company, Frasers Group. Existing Xbox All Access customers will not be affected, and alternative financing options will be available through Frasers Plus. Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox All Access program will still be available at other participating retailers in the UK. Additionally, GAME has announced the termination of its Reward Programme and Elite Membership Scheme, effective July 31, 2024. Customers can continue to earn points until July 15, but must redeem them before the program ends to avoid losing their rewards. This development follows earlier reports of layoffs, zero-hours contracts, and the cessation of pre-owned sales at GAME. The retailer's vision for its future involves focusing on physical video game sales, as expressed by its managing director, Nick Arran.
