Up to 95 Job Cuts Announced by Behaviour
Behaviour Interactive has announced plans to reduce its workforce by up to 95 employees, with the majority of these layoffs being in its Montreal office. The decision is part of the company's efforts to implement structural changes and refocus on its core strengths. Over the past five years, the company experienced significant growth, expanding from 575 to 1,300 employees. However, due to increased competition in the industry, Behaviour Interactive is narrowing its focus back to its historical areas of expertise, including the horror genre. The development of Dead by Daylight and the company's service business will not be impacted by these changes. CEO Rémi Racine expressed his appreciation for the affected employees and stated that these decisions will position the company for future success. This move follows an earlier round of layoffs at the Montreal studio, which accounted for 3% of the company's global workforce. The company had recently acquired Fly Studio, a multimedia production firm, in March.
