Worldwalker Games Enters Dormancy
Developer of Wildermyth, Worldwalker Games, is set to take an indefinite break. In a recent social media post, co-owner Nate Austin announced that the studio has concluded active development on its 2021 RPG and does not plan to release new content. Although the team will provide ongoing support through bug fixes, and a console version is still in development, no further updates are expected. Austin emphasized that the studio's decision to go dormant is not a result of poor performance, but rather a planned phase following the completion of the project. The team will be parting ways with several members, as Austin noted, "Wildermyth has been wonderful, but nothing lasts forever." He reassured that the decision is a deliberate choice, unconnected to the success of the recent DLC, Omenroad, and attributed it to the studio's independence, stating, "nobody is shutting us down." Austin expressed confidence that the team will eventually embark on a new project, which will be shared with the community when the time is right.
