Gamescom Latam has announced its first keynote speaker as David Alpert, the CEO of Skybound Entertainment. As the executive producer of The Walking Dead and Invincible, Alpert will engage in a fireside chat with video game investor Jon Goldman on June 28. Their discussion, 'Expansion of IP and Games', will delve into the current state of the gaming industry and the opportunities for video game IPs in other forms of entertainment. Alpert expressed his honor at being the keynote speaker, stating that the event showcases the global influence of gaming culture. He emphasized the importance of creating interconnected universes that immerse audiences in storytelling across various platforms, including movies, TV, games, and immersive realities. Gustavo Steinberg, CEO of Gamescom Latam, welcomed Alpert and Goldman's participation, highlighting the significance of exploring the intersection of storytelling and gaming.
