Bloober Team Loses Publishing Deal with Private Division
It has been reported that Bloober Team, a Polish game developer, is no longer working with Private Division, Take-Two's independent publishing label, after the latter terminated their agreement. This news emerged from a financial notice posted by Bloober Team, which seems to indicate that the company was informed of the deal's termination by Take-Two. The two companies had been collaborating on an unannounced survival horror game, known as Project C. The news was first spotted by a Twitter user and games analyst, who mentioned that the terms of the termination are being negotiated and that Bloober Team may be seeking a new publisher. In response to a request for confirmation, a Take-Two spokesperson stated that the company had refocused its pipeline within Private Division as part of its cost reduction efforts, and that it still plans to support various titles. The spokesperson added that there was nothing further to note. This development comes after Take-Two announced layoffs affecting 5% of its staff, as well as reports of studio closures, including Roll7 and Intercept Games.
