Minecraft Animated Series to Debut on Netflix

A new animated series based on Minecraft is in production, with Netflix partnering with Mojang Studios and animation studio WildBrain to create the show. The upcoming series will feature a unique narrative with fresh characters, all set within the Minecraft universe. Although a release date has not been confirmed, WildBrain has a proven track record of co-developing successful animated series for Netflix, including Sonic Prime and Carmen Sandiego. In addition to the animated series, a live-action Minecraft film is also in development, with a star-studded cast including Jack Black and Jason Momoa, and a scheduled release date of April 4, 2025.
