Square Enix to Discontinue Two Mobile Dragon Quest Games
Japanese gamers will soon bid farewell to two Dragon Quest mobile titles as Square Enix has announced their impending shutdown. The action-packed Dragon Quest Champions and the puzzle-based Dragon Quest Keshi Keshi are slated for closure by the end of July, as revealed through their respective social media channels. Champions is set to cease operations on July 30, 2024, while Keshi Keshi will follow suit on July 31. Having launched in June 2023 after a beta test in February, Champions was co-developed by Omega Force, a subsidiary of Koei Tecmo. Meanwhile, Keshi Keshi, which was released in December 2021, was a collaborative effort between Square Enix and NHN PlayArt.
