GameSquare Introduces Faze Media Venture
GameSquare has announced the launch of Faze Media, a new entity focused on developing intellectual property and media for creators. The company's primary objective is to increase licensing and sponsorship opportunities for the Faze Clan brand. At the helm of Faze Media will be CEO Richard Bengston, co-founder of Faze Clan. The company has received an $11 million investment from Matt Kalish, who will also join the board of directors. As part of the agreement, GameSquare will hold a 51% stake in Faze Media, with Kalish owning the remaining 49%. According to GameSquare CEO Justin Kenna, "The $11 million investment from Matt will enable us to drive growth and enhance the Faze Media board with his expertise." Kenna added, "Matt's faith in founder and creator-led organizations aligns with our vision to refocus FaZe on its core values by empowering its creators." This development follows GameSquare's acquisition of Faze Clan in March.
