Initial Lineup Revealed for Forthcoming GI Sprint Editorial Series
Details have emerged regarding the inaugural speakers and contributors participating in next month's GI Sprint series. The GI Sprint series encompasses a range of multimedia content, including video podcasts and in-depth articles, all centered around strategies for enhancing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall quality of video game development. This series is scheduled to take place from June 17th to July 5th. Key topics to be explored include the integration of artificial intelligence, cloud technology, team collaboration, hybrid and remote work models, distributed development methodologies, and the importance of rapid iteration and adaptation. The event will commence with a video podcast featuring an exclusive interview with Shawn Layden, renowned strategic advisor to Tencent and former Chairman of PlayStation's studio division, as well as the former CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment's US operations. Layden, who has been a vocal advocate for the need to reform the game development process for over five years, will share his insights on the current state of the industry and highlight areas where game studios can streamline their workflows. Graham McAllister, founder of TeamSync, will also participate, presenting preliminary findings from his research on team synergy. His presentation will emphasize the critical importance of establishing a solid foundation during the concept stage to facilitate faster game development. A panel discussion on the concept of 'failing fast' will feature prominent industry figures, including Tony Gowland of Ant Workshop, Dominique Gawlowski of Free Lives, Samer Abbas of Game Zanga, and the esteemed indie game developer Rami Ismail.
