Develop:Star Awards 2024 Finalists Unveiled

The Develop:Star Awards 2024 nominees have been revealed, with Larian, Remedy, and Sony Interactive Entertainment leading the pack with the most nominations. The three studios have garnered six nominations across 22 categories for their notable titles, including Baldur's Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. These games are also contenders for the Best Game award, alongside Balatro, Helldivers 2, and Dave the Diver. Arrowhead Game Studios, the developer of Helldivers 2, has been nominated for Best Studio, competing against prominent studios such as Larian, Remedy, D3T, FuturLab, nDreams, and Playground Games. Indie studios Geometric Interactive, Inkle, and LocalThunk have collectively secured four nominations across various categories, while Sad Owl Studios' Viewfinder has been recognized with three award nominations, including Best Game Design, Best Original IP, and Best Technical Innovation. The Develop:Star Awards 2024 introduces two new categories: Best Creative Lead and Supporting Star. The recipient of The Develop Star Award, which honors the achievements of an individual or studio, will be announced in the coming weeks. The winners will be determined by an industry vote, which is now open and will conclude on Friday, May 31. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 10, as part of Develop:Brighton, at the Brighton Dome.
