IO Interactive Appoints Ulas Karademir as Chief Technology Officer
IO Interactive, the development studio behind Hitman and the upcoming Project 007, has announced the appointment of Ulas Karademir as its new Chief Technology Officer. This marks Karademir's return to the company, where he previously spent seven years before departing in 2014. Since then, he has held key roles at Unity, serving as Vice President of Core Engineering, Graphics, Operations, and Productions, and at RealityOS, where he was General Manager and Chief Product Officer. In his new position, Karademir will be responsible for the studio's technical operations and will oversee the continued development of the proprietary Glacier game engine. He will also work closely with the production teams for current projects, including Project 007 and Project Fantasy, and will report directly to CEO Hakan Abrak. Karademir expressed his enthusiasm for rejoining the studio, stating, "I always felt that I would return to IO Interactive, and now that moment has arrived. I look forward to contributing to exceptional titles like Hitman, Project 007, and Project Fantasy, and to working with the outstanding management team that Hakan has assembled." He also emphasized his commitment to elevating the studio's standards for innovation, gameplay, and immersive storytelling.
