Crystal Dynamics Partners with Amazon to Develop New Tomb Raider Film and Streaming Content

Crystal Dynamics, a subsidiary of Embracer Group, has entered into a new agreement with Amazon MGM Studios to produce fresh Tomb Raider content for film and streaming platforms. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, known for her work on Fleabag, Killing Eve, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, will serve as writer and executive producer for the Tomb Raider series on Amazon Prime Video. The series is set to debut in over 240 countries and territories worldwide. According to Crystal Dynamics head of studio Scot Amos, "The collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios and Amazon Games allows us to expand the Tomb Raider franchise, creating engaging experiences for a global audience." This development follows the establishment of a new partnership between Amazon and Crystal Dynamics in December 2022, which included plans for Amazon Games to publish the next Tomb Raider game.
