Submissions Now Open for the 2024 UK GamesIndustry.biz Best Places To Work Awards

UK-based games companies can now submit their entries for the 2024 GamesIndustry.biz Best Places To Work Awards. Following a challenging year for the industry, we have revamped our entry questions to focus on the most critical aspects. The awards are accessible to all UK games companies, including developers, publishers, service providers, retailers, and media outlets. Entries can be submitted through this link, with a deadline of August 15. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony held at the Royal Institution on September 18. We have also simplified the process for companies to participate in our special awards, even if they are not entering the full Best Places To Work Awards. The awards are based on a two-survey system, with one survey for employers (accounting for 20% of the score) and another for employees (accounting for 80% of the score). All employer data and identifiable employee information are deleted after the awards and reports have been processed. Non-winning businesses will not be named. Participants can receive a complimentary report featuring their overall scores, and we also offer benchmarking and advanced reports for a fee. In addition to the standard Best Places To Work badges, we have introduced special awards to recognize excellence in specific areas. These include: The Diversity Award, which highlights companies proactive in improving inclusion and diversity within their business and the wider games industry. The CSR Award, which celebrates companies that have gone above and beyond in supporting charities, local communities, and the games industry. The Health & Wellbeing Award, which recognizes companies offering strong health benefits and proactively supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of their teams. The Training and Development Award, new for 2024, which acknowledges companies providing extensive training, development, and educational opportunities for employees. The Education Award, which spotlights businesses supporting the development of the next generation of video game talent. The Green Award, which recognizes companies ensuring their workplaces are environmentally sustainable and contributing to the fight against climate change. The HR Hero Award, which replaces the Best Boss Award, recognizing individuals who have made a significant impact in creating a better work environment within the games industry.
