PlayStation Appoints Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino as Co-CEOs

In a significant leadership shake-up, Sony Interactive Entertainment has named Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino as its new co-CEOs, succeeding Jim Ryan. Hulst will head the Studio Business Group, encompassing all of PlayStation's first-party studios and the adaptation of PlayStation IP into other media, such as television and film. Nishino, on the other hand, will lead the Platform Business Group, which includes console hardware, technology, accessories, PlayStation Network, and third-party relations. Both leaders will report to Hiroki Totoki, chairman of Sony Interactive Entertainment, and will focus on driving sustainable growth, deepening engagement with existing users, and expanding experiences to new audiences.
