The publisher of Marvel Rivals, NetEase, has withdrawn a clause from its preview contract that prohibited streamers from sharing negative reviews. This decision follows a backlash after a streamer, Brandon Larned, revealed contract details on social media, expressing disappointment that creators were asked to sign away their right to criticize the game. NetEase has since announced that it is revising the contract to foster more in-depth cooperation with content creators, seeking consistent and meaningful feedback. In a statement, the publisher explained that the initial contract was a draft intended for long-term collaboration, and the development team hopes to receive constructive suggestions and criticisms. The move comes as NetEase continues to develop Marvel Rivals, which was announced a month ago and is currently in closed alpha testing.
