Microsoft Unveils Summer Launch for Xbox Mobile Store

Microsoft has confirmed that its Xbox mobile store will go live in July 2024. The announcement was made by Xbox president Sarah Bond at the Bloomberg Technology Summit, where she revealed that the store will initially be accessible via the web, rivaling established mobile storefronts like Apple and Google Play. According to Bond, this approach enables the company to create a universally accessible experience, unaffected by the restrictions of closed ecosystem stores. The store will initially feature Microsoft's own titles, including Candy Crush and Minecraft, with content from other partners to follow at a later date. The ultimate goal of the Xbox mobile store, first announced in October, is to provide a seamless gaming experience across consoles, computers, and mobile devices.
