Belka Games Announces 20% Staff Reduction

Belka Games, a prominent mobile gaming company, has undergone a restructuring process, resulting in the layoff of 33 employees, which accounts for 20% of its workforce. Founded in 2010, the studio is known for developing popular games such as Clockmaker, Solitaire Cruise, and Bermuda Adventures. The news of the layoffs surfaced after a social media post by Alexander Pugachev, the company's lead narrative designer, who shared a list of affected employees. In response to the news, Alexander Bogdanov, CEO of Belka Games, provided a statement to WN HUB, explaining that the company has refined its strategy and become more selective about its products, leading to the difficult decision to downsize its team by 20%. Bogdanov expressed gratitude to the departing employees for their contributions to the company's development and assured that the company is utilizing its resources to support them in finding new career opportunities. He also stated that the company is focusing on developing new hits and preparing for its next phase of growth.
