Within 16 days of its release, Amazon's television adaptation of Fallout garnered an impressive 65 million viewers. According to a report by Variety, the show has become the streaming platform's second most-watched program, surpassing the viewership of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which was released in 2023 and held the top spot. The viewing demographics for Fallout reveal that the majority of its audience falls within the 18-34 age bracket. In terms of geographical viewership, the UK, France, and Brazil emerged as the top countries where the show was most widely watched. The release of the TV series also had a positive impact on the engagement and revenue of the video games it is based on. Notably, the daily revenue of Fallout Shelter, the mobile game spin-off, increased significantly from $20,000 to $80,000 by April 13. Additionally, sales of the 2015 Bethesda RPG, Fallout 4, experienced a substantial 7,500% week-on-week increase across Europe. On April 18, it was announced that Amazon's Fallout TV series had been renewed for a second season.
