Tencent Boosts Stake in Remedy Entertainment to 14%

Tencent has enhanced its investment in Remedy Entertainment, now holding a 14% stake in the company. Prior to this, the conglomerate possessed 5% of the shares and voting rights in the Finnish gaming studio. Tencent's initial 3.8% acquisition in Remedy took place in May 2021. Later that year, Remedy and Tencent formed a global partnership for the development and publication of Vanguard. Remedy recently released its financial report for 2023, indicating a 22.2% decline in revenue to €33.9 million. The studio's current projects include the remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2.
