Screen Australia Introduces Funding for Game Development Events

Screen Australia, a government agency, has established the Games Festival and Events Fund to support the growth of Australian game developers. The fund will provide financial backing for conferences, workshops, and other events that contribute to the development of the Australian gaming industry. Eligible applicants can receive between AU$10,000 and AU$100,000 in funding. To be eligible, organizations must host events that focus on promoting Australian games and game developers, either through public-facing or industry-focused initiatives. The evaluation of applications will be based on criteria such as impact, viability, and alignment with Screen Australia's objectives and vision.
