Fortnite Tops Revenue Charts Across Six Key Markets in March
According to Newzoo's latest reports, Epic Games' Fortnite dominated both revenue and user engagement charts for March across multiple platforms, including PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch, in the US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. Fortnite maintained its position as the game with the most monthly active users, a title it also held in February, and was the second-highest earner in terms of consumer revenue last month. Newzoo's data also highlighted the growing popularity of Helldivers 2, which saw an increase in monthly active users following its February launch, securing the eleventh spot in engagement. Newzoo senior analyst Michael Wagner noted that Diablo IV saw a significant surge in player counts after a 50% price reduction at the end of March, propelling it back into the top 20. Other notable games, such as F1 23 and Sifu, appeared in PlayStation's top 20 due to their inclusion in PlayStation Essentials, while Palworld showed signs of slowing down due to the lack of new content in March. The top 20 revenue earners for the month featured several new releases, including Capcom's Dragon's Dogma 2, which took second place, and 2K's WWE 2K24, which secured seventh place. Sony's MLB The Show 24 ranked fifteenth in terms of revenue, and Red Barrels' The Outlast Trials rounded out the top 20.
