Garry's Mod to Purge All Nintendo Content Following Copyright Notice

Facepunch Studios has been served with a takedown notice by Nintendo, prompting the removal of all Nintendo-related content from Garry's Mod. In a Steam update, the developer informed its community that all workshop items associated with Nintendo's intellectual property will be deleted. As a sandbox game that allows users to create and share custom items, Garry's Mod has accumulated nearly two decades' worth of user-generated content, including assets inspired by Nintendo's franchises. To streamline the removal process, Facepunch Studios is requesting that players voluntarily delete their own Nintendo-themed creations and refrain from uploading similar content in the future. According to the developer, 'it's Nintendo's decision what they choose to allow or disallow, and we must respect their wishes and remove as much of the offending content as possible.'
