Atari Revives Infogrames Brand with New Publishing Venture, Acquires Popular Game
Atari has unveiled the rebirth of Infogrames as a dedicated publishing label, marking a new chapter in the company's history. The revamped Infogrames will concentrate on securing and publishing intellectual properties, with its inaugural acquisition being the popular game Totally Reliable Delivery Service, purchased from Tiny Build. Although the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, it encompasses the 2019 title, associated trademarks, and underlying rights. Infogrames will specifically target properties that complement Atari's existing portfolio, with a strong emphasis on game preservation. The label will be headed by Geoffroy Châteauvieux, Atari's COO, who expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating that Infogrames will build upon the solid foundation established by tinyBuild and breathe new life into the franchise. Atari CEO Wade Rosen also shared his excitement, highlighting Infogrames' legacy as a publisher of innovative and diverse games, and welcoming its return to the industry.
