Sony Discontinues LittleBigPlanet 3 Online Services

Sony has made the decision to permanently disable the online servers for LittleBigPlanet 3 on the PlayStation 4, citing persistent technical difficulties that initially caused a temporary shutdown in January. In a message on social media, the company expressed its disappointment and gratitude towards fans for their unwavering support over the years. Although online features are no longer accessible, players can still engage with the game's offline modes, including the single-player campaign. Additionally, user-generated content saved on local consoles can be played, but new content cannot be shared with others. This development comes after a series of DDOS attacks led to the temporary closure of LittleBigPlanet servers in the past. Initially released in 2014 for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, LittleBigPlanet 3 will now have limited functionality for its users.
