Fallout Television Series Secures Season 2 Renewal

Amazon Prime has officially confirmed the renewal of its Fallout television series for a second season. This confirmation follows a recent Variety report indicating the show's eligibility for $25 million in tax credits for its second season production, now relocated to California. The show's creators, Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, will return, along with executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham. Additionally, Todd Howard, director at Bethesda, and James Altman, director of publishing operations at Bethesda Softworks, will rejoin as executive producers. The show is a collaborative effort between Amazon MGM Studios, Kilter Films, Bethesda Game Studios, and Bethesda Softworks. Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, stated: "Given the high expectations from fans of the iconic video game, we are pleased to have not only met but exceeded them, while also attracting millions of new fans to the franchise. The talented cast, including Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, and Kyle MacLachlan, has truly delivered." She further added: "We are excited to announce the second season just one week after the release and look forward to taking viewers deeper into the captivating world of Fallout." Since its release on April 10, Fallout has become one of the top three most-watched titles on Prime Video, with the highest viewership since Rings of Power, according to Amazon. The show has also had a significant impact on Bethesda's games, with Fallout Shelter's daily revenue increasing to $80,000 and sales of Fallout games surging across Europe, where Fallout 4 has reclaimed the top spot.
