Red Rover Receives $15 Million in Funding

Red Rover Interactive has successfully secured $15 million in a series A funding round, led by Krafton, the company behind PUBG. The round also saw participation from new investors, including Tirta Ventures and Overwolf, in addition to returning investors such as The Games Fund, Behold Ventures, GEM Capital, Lifelike Capital, and Acequia Capital. The funding will be utilized to support the development of the studio's debut project, a survival game titled Project Coltrane. According to Maria Park, Krafton's VP and head of corporate development, investing in Red Rover Interactive aligns with PUBG's values, which emphasize player-centric and iterative development. Park praised Red Rover's commitment to this approach, citing the studio's immersive development process and remarkable progress in updating builds based on player feedback. Founded in June 2023 by alumni from Funcom, Bohemia Interactive, and Lockwood, Red Rover aims to drive significant growth in the survival game genre. The studio initially received $5 million in funding upon its launch.
