Ninja Kiwi Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of AutoAttack Games

Modern Times Group's subsidiary Ninja Kiwi has announced the successful acquisition of AutoAttack Games. Founded in 2014 by director Brent Batas and later joined by president Julian Gari in 2016, AutoAttack Games is renowned for its tower defense game Legion TD 2, which originated as a Warcraft 3 mod in 2009. Following its initial early access release in 2017, Legion TD 2 officially launched in 2021. Although the terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, Gari has updated his LinkedIn profile to reflect his new role as executive director at Ninja Kiwi, indicating his commitment to continue supporting Legion TD 2 while expanding the team to develop a new title. Batas expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that the alignment of values and passion for game development between the two studios made Ninja Kiwi an ideal partner. Ninja Kiwi's CEO, Scott Walker, also highlighted the close alignment between the two companies. The acquisition is the latest move by Ninja Kiwi since its own acquisition by MTG in March 2021.
