Roblox Defines Requirements for Sellers on its Marketplace
Roblox has shifted away from its previous application-based model for marketplace sellers. Now, to qualify as a seller, users must fulfill four key requirements. These include being verified through ID and holding a subscription to the platform's premium service, which costs either $9.99 or $19.99 per month. Additionally, sellers are expected to comply with Roblox's community guidelines and marketplace regulations. According to the company, 'These new requirements will open up more opportunities for creators to sell their items, providing them with an additional revenue stream and users with a broader range of items to choose from, while also enabling Roblox to enforce its policies more effectively and prevent offenders from evading moderation.' This update comes shortly after Roblox launched its rights management tool, a resource designed to help users identify and address intellectual property infringement.
